About the building
The 10,000 sq. ft vacant structure has been sitting on the corner of Sixth Avenue and West 8th Street for over three years after the mega-bookstore Barnes and Noble closed down on December 31st, 2012. This building is in Greenwich Village, located on the west side of town in Manhattan, New York City. It has become one of the best-known neighbourhoods in New York and is a great hotspot for artists, students, and tourists. It was known as the Bohemian Capital, where people explored unconventional lifestyles throughout the 19th century.
Research shows that 396 Avenue of the Americas is owned by Friedland Properties and is valued at $3 billion dollars.
